Standards Co., Ltd. Press release: October 22, 2025 A space combining an office, bookstore, and event space has opened in Yotsuya! Standards Co., Ltd. is producing a space that combines its traditional publishing division with its new bookstore division, YOTSUYA BOOKS (bookstore and event space), which will begin operation on November 1, 2025. ●What kind of bookstore is YOTSUYA BOOKS? YOTSUYA BOOKS is a small bookstore located about a four-minute walk from Yotsuya Station on the JR Line in Tokyo. In recent years, when talking about bookstores, the topic often turns to the idea that bookstores have disappeared from town, and Yotsuya is no exception. There used to be three bookstores here, attracting many visitors, but they are no longer to be found. In this environment, YOTSUYA BOOKS is opening as a new venture. We’re still exploring the lineup of books we carry, so we can’t say with certainty, “This is a bookstore that focuses on these genres!” In addition to publications from Standards, the bookstore’s operator, we plan to offer a wide range of books from other companies.

If you have any questions about the books we carry, please ask the staff just inside the door. You can also enter the store through the accordion door on the back side (though during events, you will generally enter through the back door). ●A bookstore turned into an event venue!? YOTSUYA BOOKS plans to actively host many events, including events related to Standards books. We will be holding events to celebrate the release of new books, autograph sessions, and technical book-related seminars. We are also keen to hold events unrelated to Standards, and welcome people to bring in their own event plans and rent out our event space. If you are a publisher or someone in the publishing industry who would like to hold an event, please feel free to contact us! YOTSUYA BOOKS plans to archive and stream video footage of many of its events, so even those who can’t make it on the day or who live in rural areas can learn about the content through the videos. We also plan to begin live streaming as soon as the necessary equipment is available. ●Books sold exclusively at YOTSUYA BOOKS! ? YOTSUYA BOOKS plans to carry small-run books and zines that are not generally available. We also plan to offer books that will be sold exclusively at YOTSUYA BOOKS. For example, we plan to release a paper copy of the erotic novel anthology titled “Ensou” on November 1st (the same day as the store’s opening).

YOTSUYA BOOKS’ official opening is scheduled for Saturday, November 1st, but as a pre-opening event, we’ll be holding a talk show on Saturday, October 25th featuring Haruka Yamamoto, Suzuka Neya, and Kyo Sato about the photo book “Otomegraphy.” The talk show will feature photographer Haruka Yamamoto, actors Suzuka Neya, and Kyo Sato, and will discuss the “Otomegraphy” photo book series.
