Details ​ Daikanyama Tsutaya Bookstore (Shibuya Ward, Tokyo) will host “Tsutaya Bookstore – Daikanyama Tsutaya Bookstore x SPRING VALLEY BREWERY,” an after-hours in-store reading event starting at midnight on Saturday, December 13, 2025. Based on the theme of “Kocherinat (Cozy Night),” the event will feature a talk session with SPRING VALLEY BREWERY, where you can enjoy a glass of “Maromin Ale,” a new winter-only craft beer. The event will also feature a concierge introducing recommended books and a store tour. In a store designed to feel as comfortable as home, you can escape the hustle and bustle and spend some time relaxing with a book. Fifty customers who apply between Wednesday, October 22 and Friday, November 7 will be entered into a lottery to participate. This event was launched in the winter of 2023 with the idea that, while we regularly have many customers, it might be difficult for them to enjoy reading in their favorite seat in the store. This event, which allows a limited number of people to enjoy the luxurious space, has been well received and continues to be held. This time, the theme is “Kocherinut,” in reference to SPRING VALLEY BREWERY’s new winter-only craft beer, “Maromin Ale,” which is based on the kocheri concept. Kocheri means “comfortable, lovely” in Norwegian, and nat means “night.” As the colder, busier December nights pass, enjoy a heartwarming time and space at Tsutaya Bookstore, which will be open for one night only, and will offer books, beer, food, and lanterns.
