Nijisanji, a VTuber/Virtual Liver Group operated by ANYCOLOR Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Riku Tazumi; hereinafter “the Company”), has announced the launch of “Luxiem “Ukiyoe” merchandise will go on sale from 11:00 on Thursday, October 23, 2025. “Luxiem Ukiyoe” merchandise will go on sale from 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 23, 2025! From the VTuber project “NIJISANJI EN,” which primarily uses English, comes “Luxiem Ukiyoe” merchandise from the unit “Luxiem,” comprised of Vox Akuma, Luca Kaneshiro, and Shu Yamino! Ukiyo-e, a culture that was all the rage during the Edo period as cutting-edge media for the masses. Now, an art piece called “Luxiem Ukiyoe: Ukiyo-e” has been born, fusing the traditional techniques of ukiyo-e with the new, contemporary culture of VTubers. “Luxiem Ukiyoe” is an ukiyo-e woodblock print that depicts the solemn demeanor of the three members of Luxiem, preserving the atmosphere of the Edo period. The Japanese paper used for the woodblock prints is “Echizen Kizuki Hosho,” the highest quality Japanese paper made by Living National Treasure Iwano Ichibei. Namazuki hosho paper, the signature method of Echizen washi paper, has been designated an Important Intangible Cultural Property of Japan. It is a hand-made paper that requires immense effort to produce and can be considered the origin of Japanese paper. In addition, the carving of this woodblock print is purely hand-carved using the ancient Edo method, and each craftsman is a member of the Ukiyo-e Woodblock Carving Technique Preservation Association, certified under Article 83 of the Cultural Properties Protection Act. The woodblock printmaking techniques of these carvers and printers have been designated a national cultural property, “Important Folk Cultural Property Selected Preservation Techniques,” under the Agency for Cultural Affairs Protection Act. In addition to the ukiyo-e prints, the merchandise lineup will include a postcard set featuring original photographs, foil-stamped can badges, and a crepe-style Nijipapetto print, for a total of four different items. “Luxiem Ukiyoe” merchandise will be available at the Nijisanji Official Store (https://shop.nijisanji.jp) and the NIJISANJI EN Official Store (https://nijisanji-store.com) will go on sale from 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 23, 2025.

In June 2000, he was designated a National Important Intangible Cultural Property (Living National Treasure). He is dedicated to making freshly made hosho paper using only paper mulberry, without any wood pulp or other additives. Strong yet delicate, Echizen washi paper, crafted using the ancient techniques handed down through the generations, is used as printmaking paper by many artists and ukiyo-e woodblock printmakers.
