Japanese-style Lesson Center The kimono shop “Iseyu” (8-8-19 Konparu-dori, Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo) was founded in 1878 in
Wakamatsucho, Nihonbashi, and moved to Konparu-dori in Ginza in 1933. For over 100 years, we have been passing down the essence of Edo chic. To celebrate our 150th anniversary in 2028, we will be opening a studio offering lessons in the traditional Japanese art of kimono, which is closely linked to kimono. For the first lesson, we will be inviting rakugo performer San’yutei Rakumaro (Enraku Ichimonkai V) as our instructor, and will be teaching the traditional Japanese performing art of rakugo. Rakugo lessons will begin on Sunday, December 14th. We hope this will be an opportunity for you to learn more about traditional Japanese culture and feel closer to kimono. “Learn and Experience Rakugo” (Co-hosted by the Ginza Konparu Rakugo Association and Iseyoshi) Rakugo lessons with direct instruction from professional rakugo performer San’yutei Rakumaro. Through six lessons, you will complete one story and experience a real vaudeville performance through a performance.
