On October 18, 2025, the Umorea Buried Cultural Properties Center, a new historical and cultural hub, opened in Tsunan Town. “Umorea,” renovated from an abandoned school building, houses, preserves, and exhibits artifacts and records from excavations. In addition, early modern and modern folk history interpreted from Suzuki Makino’s book “Akiyama Chronicles” is also on display, allowing visitors to experience the lifestyles and cultures of each era.
