Hiroshi Tanaka, creator of “BADBOYS,” which has sold over 55 million copies, and Ryu Nakayama, director of the hugely popular anime “Chainsaw Man,” have begun production in Fuchu, Hiroshima. The film condenses the story of a family’s rapport into a minute-long, high-density video set in real locations. It is scheduled for release in 2026 and streamed on the town’s official channel! The short anime “Fuchucho, Crazy Happy,” set in Fuchucho, Hiroshima Prefecture, was released in 2019. Production of its sequel has finally begun. The original work is by Hiroshi Tanaka (Fuchu Town PR Ambassador), a Hiroshima-born manga artist known for works such as “BADBOYS” and “KIPPO.” The general director will be animation director Ryu Nakayama (CEO of Andraft Inc.), who has worked on popular titles such as “Chainsaw Man” and “Jujutsu Kaisen.” The sound director will be Keisuke Tamura (CEO of Rendezvous Inc./RAN de VoO), who has experience in the three fields of video, sound, and planning. In the new work, the Tsubakimachi family, the protagonists of the previous work, welcomes their first daughter. The story continues from the second son’s birthday, depicting the bond between family members and the warmth of everyday life.
