Singer Akiko Wada, known as the queen of Japanese R&B, debuted on October 25, 1968, with “Hoshizora no Kodoku.” Her song “YONA YONA DANCE,” released on September 2, 2021, has garnered over 500 million views on TikTok and over 20 million views on YouTube. This album features a total of 30 tracks, including the Reiwa hit “YONA YONA DANCE,” classic hits like “Furui Nikki” and “Waratte Yurushite,” new songs like “Omoide wo Koete” (Beyond Memories) provided by 10-FEET and “Jinsei wa Utsukushii” (Life is Beautiful) provided by Tokoro George, and the signature track “Ano Kane wo Narasu no wa Anata” (It’s You Who Rings That Bell) in both its original and 2025 re-recorded version. The included DVD contains a special studio live performance filmed exclusively for this album. The track “Aigaju” (pronounced “Thank You”) is a new song written by Tani Yuuki specifically for Akiko Wada. It expresses gratitude to the people, family, and friends she has met, and is a powerful piece that only Akiko Wada, who has enjoyed such a long musical career since her debut 57 years ago, could have written.
