Orange, blue, and pink fill the air, and despite it being a nighttime scene, the image is enveloped in a brightness that seems to invigorate the viewer. The cityscape, night sky, and moving trains are arranged in a balanced manner, creating a world with a sense of rhythm. This charming piece is soothing and brings to mind a harmonious blend of a childlike free-spirited imagination and keen observational skills. 【Runner-up Prize】Work by Koichi Takatori (※1)

The detailed depiction of the windows and doors conveys a keen interest in and observation of trains. The large “HANSHIN” lettering at the top and the track design tie the whole piece together, adding a sense of gravitas befitting this commemorative milestone. It’s a design worth seeing, combining playfulness with precision. ■Award winner Grand Prize Taizan Inamoto (3rd grade elementary school student, Osaka City) Headmark Award Ryotaro Wakita Ryotaro (3rd grade elementary school student, Osaka City) Second Place Akiho Kurioka (Kindergarten senior, Akashi City) Koichi Takatori (Osaka City) (6th grade elementary school student) Excellent Award [My Hanshin Train] Kokonao Abe (Kindergartener, Kobe City) Aoi Iwamoto (5th grade elementary school student, Osaka City) Akiyoshi Oya (3rd grade elementary school student, Kobe City) Tsukasa Okada (5th grade elementary school student, Kobe City) Mana Kimura (5th grade elementary school student, Kobe City) Miyu Kimura (1st grade elementary school student, Osaka City) Kai Kusunoki (1st grade elementary school student, Osaka City) Nao Kogo (Kindergarten senior, Kawasaki City) Yuri Takamiya (6th grade elementary school student, Kobe City) Haruta Hirai (5th grade, Nishinomiya City) Yuma Masutani (1st grade, Osaka City) Rio Matsumoto (4th grade, Kobe City) Miura Tohri (4th grade, elementary school, Kobe City) Murayama Yuhi (2nd grade, elementary school, Osaka City) Morita Yuzuki (6th grade, elementary school, Kobe City) [Original Headmark for the 120th Anniversary Project] Masato Kumada (Kindergartener, Edogawa Ward) Takazawa Yume Takazawa (1st grade, Kobe City) Takatomo Higashitsuji (4th grade, Moriyama City) Anzu Masamoto (2nd grade, Osaka City) Yamaguchi Yuta Yamaguchi (3rd grade elementary school student, Osaka City) ■Exhibition (1) Display of sheets at stations (all winning works)
