He serves as the vocalist (leader) of the Wagakki Band and was also the founder of the band. He began classical piano at the age of three and shigin, shibu, and kenbu at the age of five. Graduated from Tokyo College of Music with a major in Instrumental Music (Piano). He is deeply involved in the field of education, having obtained a junior high and high school music teaching license. In 2011, he won first place at the Columbia Records National Gin’ei Competition. In 2025, he founded the Suzuka-ryu Gindo school and became its head, active as “Suzuka Keisei.” Furthermore, as a man of ideas with excellent planning skills, he engages in a wide range of creative endeavors, including writing music, producing various events, and producing artists. In 2024, he published his first book, “Uta Iroha,” in which he expresses his passion for music in his own words. He has also worked as a voice actor and radio personality, building a track record in a wide range of artistic fields. In 2013, he also founded the eight-member rock band “Wagakki Band,” which combines traditional Japanese instruments with rock music. As both vocalist and leader, her signature song “Senbonzakura,” a cover of a popular VOCALOID song, has been played over 170 million times, and her album “Yasou Emaki” reached number one on the Oricon charts. In 2016, just three years after Wagakki Band’s debut, she successfully performed at the Nippon Budokan for the first time, making it an annual tradition.
