Happy Set, a four-piece band from Nagano and finalists of Senkou Riot 2025, held at Zepp DiverCity (TOKYO) on Thursday, August 7th, released “Kioku,” a song they’ve been working on since high school, digitally today, Wednesday, October 22nd. The music video was also released at 8:00 PM. This song was written by the members when they were in high school, and expresses their desire to “not regret their one and only youth.” They also performed it on the final stage of Senkou Riot 2025, thrilling the audience with its memorable intro and four-on-the-floor beat. This song is important to Happy Set, who spent time reflecting on various things after graduating from high school, and who have also cultivated it through live performances, so it’s a song they’re excited to release at this time. As the recording process continued, the song arrangements, including chorus arrangements and finishing touches, became more intense, creating a work that will likely feel fresh even to those familiar with the original. The music video was directed by Afghan RAY (HiVE inc.), who also directed the previous work. Originating from Nagano Prefecture, the band formed as a member of the light music club. They have since graduated from high school and are based in Tokyo. Chan7’s powerful vocals, Yuyushi’s technical guitar playing, and the supporting rhythm section create a youthful rock sound that is their greatest asset. Their youthful spirit is evident on stage, and at POWERLIVE, the goal of Nagano Prefecture’s light music club, they won the top prize at the 2024 competition. At Senkou Riot 2024, the music’s “Koshien” (national tournament), they advanced to the third round of live auditions, and this year they competed again at Senkou Riot 2025, where they were selected as finalists.
