Ryo Kidogawa, “Takamiya Maya’s Resignation Request” (Bungeishunju) “Takamiya Maya’s Resignation Request” is the sequel to “Takamiya Maya’s Handover Letter,” which was an unusual hit for a debut novel by a new author. Her debut work, “Takamiya Maya’s Handover Book,” is a delightful work novel starring Takamiya Maya, a young employee at a specialized trading company. It was shortlisted for the 31st Matsumoto Seicho Prize, but unfortunately missed out on the award. However, an editor who was captivated by the work’s appeal made the unusual decision to publish it as a book.
