It’s amazing!” Furthermore, Wada also tried to imagine himself as a wild boar and get caught in a trap, “experiencing being captured (?)”. He experienced the power of the activated trap firsthand and showed an astonished reaction, saying, “This is amazing!” ◼️Comment from an Ehime Prefectural Government Nature Conservation Division staff member Mr. Wada tried setting up a snare trap, a type of trapping technique. He said he couldn’t find any traces of wild boars in the area, but selecting the location and tying the wire to the footboard went very smoothly. As part of our department’s project, we’re also having high school students studying agriculture and forestry try setting up snare traps, but they all struggle. Please watch the video to see Mr. Wada’s impressive setup. In addition to snare traps, many hunters also use box traps, so we hope Mr. Wada will try using one for wild boars someday. I’m sure it’s easy to understand how a box trap’s trigger works.
