The Leica M EV1’s viewfinder displays the image exactly as it will appear when you release the shutter, depending on the lens, focal length, and aperture you select. Being able to directly preview the image’s field of view and depth of field is a significant advantage when composing shots, especially when using ultra-wide-angle or telephoto lenses. Precise real-time exposure preview not only provides added peace of mind, but also opens up new creative possibilities by intentionally underexposing or overexposing. Additionally, the built-in diopter correction function allows you to adjust the viewfinder image to suit your eyesight. Select diopters from -4 to 2 using the dial. The high-resolution 5.76 million dot EVF delivers crystal-clear image quality with exceptionally sharp and natural color reproduction. All relevant shooting data, such as shutter speed, ISO, and exposure compensation, is displayed outside the frame as needed, allowing you to always keep an eye on the entire composition. An eye sensor also automatically switches between the viewfinder and the touch display. This model features the Focus Assist function found in other Leica cameras, making it incredibly easy to use. Focus Peaking displays the current focal plane with a color overlay, allowing you to precisely focus on the desired image area in real time. It also features a Focus Zoom function, which provides two levels of magnification for easier manual focusing. Magnification can be achieved automatically by simply rotating the focus ring, or manually by operating one of the function buttons. This makes it possible to achieve pinpoint accuracy when using a bright lens with a shallow depth of field, even when shooting at close range. The front lever used for bright frame preview on rangefinder Leica M cameras can be used as a convenient support function on the Leica M EV1. This lever can be assigned to the focus assist function or 1.3x/1.8x digital zoom, and you can quickly and smoothly turn focus assist on/off by simply moving the lever left or right depending on the situation. The Leica M EV1 continues the timeless, functional, and iconic design of the Leica M series. Crafted by hand in Germany from high-quality materials, this camera embodies Leica’s refined and beautiful design language. Its diamond-pattern leather finish and minimalist front design distinguish it from traditional rangefinder Leica M cameras.

It combines precise color reproduction, outstanding detail resolution, a wide dynamic range, and excellent noise immunity. Choose from 60-, 36-, or 18-megapixel resolutions and record your images in DNG or JPEG format. The Leica Maestro III image processing engine quickly processes image data, even at the highest resolutions, and stores it on the 64 GB internal memory or an SD card. Seamless connectivity via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and cable ensures smooth
integration with the Leica FOTOS app. Bluetooth Low Energy technology allows for power-saving background image transfer to your smartphone. In addition, the “Leica M EV1” supports the Leica Content Credentials feature, just like the “Leica M11-P” and “Leica M11-D.” This advanced technology complies with Content Authentication Initiative (CAI) standards and digitally signs images, providing tamper-proof proof of their origin and any subsequent modifications. ”
