As part of its 50th anniversary celebrations, For Life Music Entertainment Inc. (headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) will release an official playlist of Hitoshi Komuro’s hit songs, “Hitoshi Komuro Folk Best at For Life ~When the Rain Falls from the Sky” on various music streaming services from Friday, October 24, 2025. Hitoshi Komuro was a symbol of Japanese folk music in the 1970s, releasing numerous songs that honestly addressed society and everyday life. After founding For Life in 1975, he performed with young talents who would later shape Japanese rock, including Tulip, Sugar Babe, Akiko Yano, Moonriders, and Masayoshi Takanaka, breathing new life into the poetry of folk music.
