The annual New Year’s Eve “Tokyu Silvester Concert 2025-2026” will be broadcast on Wednesday, December 31st at 11:30 PM. The countdown will be conducted by Nodoka Okisawa, the first woman to do so. The piece will be “Bolero,” composed by Ravel to mark his 150th birthday.

anniversary. The much-anticipated countdown will feature Ravel’s masterpiece “Boléro,” celebrating its 150th anniversary. This beautiful melody will dramatically color the final moments of 2025. The conductor will be maestro Nodoka Okisawa, whose career continues to flourish. This will be the first time a woman has conducted the countdown piece. The host will be Goro Inagaki, who has expanded his career from TV dramas to stage performances and is also well-versed in classical music. Guests include Yasuko Otani, a leading Japanese violinist celebrating her 50th anniversary since her debut; Seiya Kamei, an internationally renowned pianist who won fifth place at the Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition; and Yuya Mizuno, the first Asian to win the Prague Spring International Music Competition. The Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, part of the Orchard Hall Franchise Orchestra, boasting the longest history and tradition in Japan, will perform a spectacular concert. As the piece progresses, the full potential of each instrument is brought out, allowing you to enjoy the changes in tone and color thanks to Ravel’s unique and innovative orchestration.
