UNI SOUND GROOVE, a band project formed by staff members of UNI SOUND Inc. (Headquarters: Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture; Representative Director: Itsuki Nishizono; hereinafter “UNI SOUND”), released their fifth song, “Quiet Wharf,” on October 24th. The new video will be released on YouTube. The newly released track, “Quiet Wharf,” is a jazzy and mellow track that strongly reflects the band members’ musical roots, which include a love of jazz, funk, and R&B. The song was created with the image of Yokohama’s port in mind, and features Ryozo Obayashi of SANABAGUN. and Ryozo Band as producer, composer, and arranger. This project is a serious band project formed primarily by staff at UNI SOUND, a Yokohama-based company that now buys and sells used musical instruments both in Japan and abroad. The fourth installment, released in August, featured a bold Latin-style cover of the funk classic “The Chicken,” which garnered a huge response and helped the group’s YouTube channel reach over 100,000 subscribers. The sixth installment, a video featuring a special guitarist active around the world, is scheduled for release at the end of the year.
