He competed in the first Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Road Race in 1978, and then formed “Team Shinsuke” with Shinsuke Shimada in 1986. In 1986, Team Shinsuke competed in the Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance for the first time, and retired from racing in 1991. In 1992, he became an FIM-certified Suzuka Circuit marshal rider. He is a legend of the Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance motorcycle race. ❖Takahara Kei Japanese singer-songwriter, talent, and electrical contractor. Born in Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture. Former lead singer of the band “Aladdin.” Known for the hit “Perfect Rock ‘n’ Roller,” which he wrote and performed with the band. “Perfect Rock ‘n’ Roller” won the Grand Prix at the Popcon and World Song Festivals. Since 2007, he has written a series of hit songs for artists such as Pabo, Shuchishin, and the combined unit Aladdin, blossoming as a composer. He also appeared at stage events such as talk shows and mini-concerts at the Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Road Race, earning him the nickname “8 Hours Man” among motorsports fans. “Wind, To Suzuka,” written by Shinsuke Shimada, is the theme song for the Suzuka 8 Hours. In 1979, he made his first appearance in the Suzuka 8 Hours with Moriwaki. In 1986, he competed in the Suzuka 8 Hours with Team Shinsuke (reaching 6th place overall but suffering from muffler trouble). In 1992, he competed in the FIM World Championship Malaysian 6-Hour Endurance Race, finishing 5th overall.

He joined TV Osaka in 1981 as part of the first class of new graduates. He has worked in a wide range of fields, including motorsports, professional baseball broadcasts, news programs, information, and variety shows. At the Suzuka 8 Hours, he spoke for an astounding 9 hours and 16 minutes without a break, from the opening before the race to the fireworks after the finish, without taking a break or eating.
