watchmaking. The “Gallery of Time” showcases the brand’s 150-year historical depth as a source of experience and knowledge. Visitors can learn about the origins of watchmaking in the Vallée de Joux, the birthplace of the brand, and trace the history of Audemars Piguet’s founding in 1875 through archival documents and materials. In addition, in the corner displaying rare archive pieces and the latest timepieces, each watch tells the story of Audemars Piguet, including the evolution of its era, shape, function, color, design, technology, and know-how, and sheds light on a part of its history. Other content available will allow visitors, regardless of their knowledge of watches, to enjoy the charm of mechanical watches. This includes an immersive VR experience in collaboration with Geneva-based Dreamscape that highlights Audemars Piguet’s avant-garde spirit and creativity, as well as a corner where technicians will introduce the mechanisms of mechanical watches. Focusing on the craftsmanship, innovation, and people’s stories that Audemars Piguet has built over the past 150 years, the space will allow visitors to experience with all five senses the company’s journey from its founding in 1875 to the present day. Reservations for visits will begin on Friday, October 24th, on a special page on the Audemars Piguet website.
