Following on from last year, the theme is “WE (heart) NANJO.” Let’s all come together again this year in the name of love for Nanjo City! The special live performance will feature oldies band DYNAMITES, enjoyable for all generations! Also worth watching is the father-son performance by Ref Rise & Taro’s! Be sure to also enjoy the spectacular “Heart Town Fireworks Show.” The 6th Nanjo City Festival (sponsored by the Nanjo City Festival Executive Committee), which aims to discover the charms of Nanjo City and promote the local area, will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025. Until now, the festival has been held once every four years, but starting this year, it has been decided to hold it annually. Continuing from the previous year, the festival will use the catchphrase “WE (heart) NANJO” to aim for the festival to be an opportunity for citizens involved in the festival to learn about the nature, history, culture, and industry of Nanjo City, and to foster a love for the community.

The stall area will feature a variety of exhibits, including a Marche & Experience Booth as part of the 10th National Herb Summit Nanjo Convention, the Nanjo Chamber of Commerce Festival featuring “Nanjo Selection,” a collaboration between professional chefs active in the prefecture and local ingredients, and sales of products from sister cities. At the press conference, Executive Chef Moriaki Maekawa of Novotel Okinawa Naha appeared as a guest. Regarding “Nanjo Gastronomy,” a cooking project using local ingredients, he said, “Using ingredients from Nanjo City, I want to make an even more delicious curry than last year. This year, I’m also planning to make rice balls using Nakamura Canal’s glutinous rice, so I hope you’ll look forward to it.”
