It’s late autumn at Narita Hills Country Club, and the battle for the men’s tour’s money leader is reaching its climax. The 18 holes were designed by the “genius” of course design, Pete Dye. Also known as “the man who brought fear to golf,” this architect, who designed numerous major tournament courses, is said to have created this masterpiece during his prime, and a new drama is about to unfold on this course. The participants include veterans like Ryo Ishikawa, who is five wins away from a permanent seed (25 wins), and Yusaku Miyazato, who is aiming for his first victory in his 40s.
