From top left: Takahiro Yumisashi, Kobasa Yoshisako, Chinpan, Kameko Kameo YUGEN Gallery FUKUOKA (4F, Stage 1 Nishidori, 2-1-4 Daimyo, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture) is hosting the group exhibition “Daily Fables” from Saturday, October 25, 2025. The four artists participating are Chinpan, Kameko Kameo, Takahiro Yumisashi, and Kobasa Yoshisako. The curation will be handled by Hirotaka Noma. Chinpan’s work features a panda motif and is characterized by an Edo painting-style design. Kameko Kameo’s work features a gray-based girl whose emotions are difficult to read, triggered by the separation from her beloved dog. Takahiro Yumisashi reconstructs demons in a pop style, expressing the Japanese aesthetic of awe. Kobasa Yoshisako uses painting techniques to depict rabbits blending into the landscape, creating a world of fables hidden in everyday life. The theme of this exhibition is to explore the boundary between reality and fiction, using each artist’s iconic character as a medium. As the title “Daily Fables” suggests, the exhibition will consist of approximately 20 two-dimensional works that express allegorical elements hidden in the everyday. Attendees who fill out a survey at the venue will receive an original coaster as a gift. These coasters are available in limited quantities and are only available here, so be sure to pick one up as a memento of your visit. In addition, we are also selling original goods full of individuality created by participating artists. We offer a diverse lineup of apparel items, stickers, and art books that embody the unique worldview of each artist, allowing you to enjoy art in your everyday life.

Graduated from the Social Studies Department of the Faculty of Education, Kagoshima University, School Education Teacher Training Program in 2002. He creates illustrations and art direction with a panda motif. His main works include art direction for the “Agopan Cafe” celebrating the 70th anniversary of Roppongi Almond (2016), the cover illustration for Yasutaka Tsutsui’s “Nokyo Tsuki ni Iku” (Kadokawa Bunko/2017), and the wrapping illustration for the Kagoshima City Tram Sister City Train (2021). In recent years, he has expanded the scope of his activities, exhibiting at art fairs in China, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, and other countries.
