(Headquarters: Yaita City, Tochigi Prefecture; Representative: Yukiko Kimura), a provider of language-related services, began offering English conversation lessons, “Learn English and Culture with Ukrainian Instructors,” in September 2025 in response to the still-unresolved humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. This online English conversation lesson service aims to provide jobs, not just support, to Ukrainian refugees in Japan. Donations are accepted as a hometown tax return gift for Yaita City, Tochigi Prefecture, where the company is located. This reward is limited to 100 people per year, and for a donation of 141,000 yen, you can take four 50-minute lessons. 50% of operating profits will be donated to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). Please consider donating as a form of “experience consumption” that allows you to contribute to international aid while also gaining valuable opportunities to interact with people in Ukraine through hometown tax donations. The teaching materials used in the lessons were written by a creator from Ukraine and are available as e-books (Kindle books) on Amazon. According to the United Nations, 12.7 million people require assistance, and more than 7 million have been forced to flee the country. The impact has also reached Japan, with 1,944 Ukrainians currently starting new lives here. Leveraging the strengths of our language education program business, we thought we could create and provide employment opportunities for Ukrainians living in Japan by hiring them as instructors, and so we decided to move forward with this initiative. Our instructor, Ms. R, has previous experience working as an English teacher, and we were able to provide her with an

For English conversation lessons, we use original textbooks created in collaboration with a Ukrainian designer.We aim to not only improve students’ English skills, but also to broaden their understanding of different cultures. The teaching materials are based on Ukrainian culture and are designed to be interesting and engaging for even advanced English learners. Even if you’re not very good at English or this is your first English lesson, all of our Ukrainian instructors are fluent in Japanese, so you can feel at ease. Image
