A new era is upon us, where short vertical dramas originating from smartphones are connected to television. The vertical short drama “Guchi to Koi wa Tomaranai” (commonly known as “Guchikoi”) will be broadcast on Television Kanagawa (tvk). Starring Asahi Otoha and Goto Mitsuteru, with co-stars Miyazaki Amisa, Yoshida Eiji, and Fukushima Ai. This “love square romantic comedy” unfolds on a film set at a pace inspired by social media, and will be broadcast on terrestrial television. “Guchikoi” is a drama about the intersection of love and work, where four people – a controversial actor, a sharp-tongued AD, a colleague, and a popular actress – clash on the set. Taking advantage of the realism and speed unique to vertical screens, this new viewing experience can be enjoyed on both

When Leo tries to keep quiet, she uses her sharp tongue to provoke a huge fight!? — A controversial actor and a sharp-tongued ad tech are so close that their fight never stops! Then Mayu’s childhood friend Hayato, who has feelings for her, and the beautiful actress Mirei, who is pursuing Leo, join the fray. A love comedy with a love triangle between cast and staff, where sparks fly in both love and work. Performer comments Mayu = Asahi Otoha I was nervous on the first day of filming, but as I played the role of the energetic and positive Mayu, I naturally relaxed, as if encouraged by her. The way she would tease and rely on others was similar to me, and even during breaks I was told, “You’re really just like Mayu.” What has stuck in my mind are Yui’s words, “When times are tough, just knowing someone is thinking about you helps me get through it.” This is my favorite scene, which makes me realize how many times Mayu has been saved by Yui. Be sure to check out the “squirrel costume” scene, which I’ve been looking forward to the most since I first read it. This is perfect for anyone in love, someone who is passionately pursuing something important, or someone who just wants to take a break. I hope you’ll laugh a lot and feel a lot of excitement while watching “Complaints and Love Never Ends.”

He had both hands in his pockets, so the director and cameraman were supporting him from behind. His awkward posture made me laugh. I hope you enjoy these little behind-the-scenes stories. My favorite lines are the one spoken by Yanagida, played by Hayasaka Kaori, in the izakaya scene, and Leo’s line, “I hope we can lean on each other.” I like that kind of relationship, where neither of them tries too hard, and they’re equals, so they can lean on each other. While striving to portray a calm, mature adult, I experienced the challenges of “acting” and the thrill of mixing my own reality. I also used the frustration of thinking “what a jerk” as motivation, and approached the role with the attitude of “if I’m going to do it, I’ll enjoy it to the fullest.” I hope this story of endless complaints and love doesn’t end in complaints, but rather gives you the strength to move forward. Gen Z members, let’s turn our complaints into fuel and run! Mire = Amisa Miyazaki I’m Miyazaki Amisa, who played the role of Mirei in “Complaints and Love Never Ends.” It was my first time filming Gokko Club, so I was a little nervous, but the director, staff, and cast were all so warm and welcoming, and the set always felt like a home. I was also very happy with the sweets provided by the catering service at each set. My favorite scene is when Otoha, who plays Mayu, appears in a squirrel costume. It was so cute that I couldn’t help but exclaim, “So cute!” As for Mirei, I think all of her costumes are really cute, so I hope you’ll pay attention to that. Mirei appears strong-willed, but she becomes a little more honest in front of Leo. I carefully portrayed this contrast. You’ll laugh, cry, and be moved by this emotional roller coaster, so please enjoy Mirei’s dual nature.

During filming, I stayed at the location for two nights and three days. Everyone cooked dinner for me in between takes, and I’ll never forget the time we spent together afterward! It was also very moving to be able to film at TV Kanagawa, which is close to my hometown. My favorite scene is with Hayato’s family. Even though they don’t appear much, I love the scenes because they exude a warm atmosphere and the bond between family members. “Complaints and Love Never Ends” has many lines I like and is a work packed with “moments that make you chuckle and feel your heart flutter.” Please take a look! Yui = Ai Fukushima I’m Fukushima Ai, and I played the role of Yui. On set, the characters don’t have much contact with each other, and there are scenes where they get into tension, but behind the scenes, everyone gets along really well, and we always laugh together during breaks. Making curry and eating it together at training camp is also a cherished memory. My two favorite lines are, “When things get tough, just knowing someone’s thinking about you keeps me going,” and “Going viral can kill someone, but it can also help.” Especially in this age of social media, I feel like these words could save someone. Find out why Yui is so obsessed with “going viral,” and discover her past. Be sure to check it out.

I loved Shu’s innocent antics and the pure kindness he shows towards Yui, so I did my best to act the part. We were all confused by the contradiction of “filming a drama” as a drama shoot, and as a staff member myself, I empathized with the content, and it was a moving experience both inside and outside of filming. My favourite scene is when Hayato and Mayu are spending time together in their room. This work is not just a romantic comedy, it is sprinkled with memorable lines and gives a glimpse into the unpleasant side of the industry, but the scene where the two of them are eating takoyaki had that “romance comedy-like” atmosphere that makes everyone’s hearts flutter. Because everyone acted so naturally in this work, I hope you will enjoy it not as “a story about some production company” but as “a story that can happen to you!” Please enjoy it not as “a story about some production company” but as “a story that can happen to you.” Please also check out our official Instagram!
