Creative Island Nakanoshima Executive Committee Press Release: October 28, 2025 “Creative Island Nakanoshima,” Japan’s largest creative network, located in Nakanoshima, Osaka, is holding a special autumn program. Held in the Nakanoshima area, where Osaka’s academic and cultural facilities are concentrated | Until Sunday, November 30, 2025 Nakanoshima, a symbol of Osaka’s aquatic metropolis, is a unique urban island where cultural facilities such as art museums, concert halls, science museums, and international conference centers coexist, along with historical buildings, corporate skyscrapers, parks, and waterfront areas. It is filled with
world-class cultural assets, similar to Paris’s Île de la Cité and Berlin’s Museum Island. Creative Island Nakanoshima is Japan’s largest creative network, comprised of over a dozen organizations related to Nakanoshima, Osaka. The entire Nakanoshima area is treated as a unique venue, a “creative experimental island,” where a variety of creative content is developed and produced. In 2025, the year of the
Osaka-Kansai Expo, we will promote the appeal and potential of Creative Island through an original Nakanoshima-themed story, an AR-themed project, a long table, a night museum, a river cruise, and more.
