Sugimoto (Yamazaki Kento), a former soldier nicknamed “Invincible Sugimoto” who survived the Russo-Japanese War, is searching for 24 “tattooed prisoners” with codes carved into them that indicate the location of a gold nugget, along with an Ainu girl named Asirpa (Yamada Anna) and an escaped prisoner from Abashiri Prison, Shiraishi (Yamoto Yuma).
