As the name, which uses functional notation in programming languages, suggests, the project aims not only to visualize a vision but also to express a view of the future unfolding through technology. For the second installment, we created the artwork “run_future (avatar),” based on the vision of avatarin Inc., an AI and robotics startup developing the communication AI robot newme. This artwork depicts a scene from a Japanese home connecting with a Japanese tea specialty store overseas, using the communication AI robot newme to provide customer service. This work depicts a future where technology has made “working with someone far away” a part of everyday life, along with the warmth of the home. The everyday scenes at home and the expressions of conversations during customer service are imbued with thoughts of a future where digital and human activities blend naturally together. Mizusu’s soft brushstrokes depict a new lifestyle that lies between “work” and “living.” Mizusu

He works on book covers, textbooks, advertisements, music artwork, and more.” https://mizusu99.com/ Comment: “I drew this image of a mother from an ordinary Japanese household logging in from her home to an avatar robot at a Japanese tea shop overseas to serve customers. I imagine this could be a scene in the future when avatar robots are commonplace. These days, we face labor shortages and various other social issues, but I hope that technology will help people and lead to a better society.” ―――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――― What is run_future ――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――

(a robotics and AI startup developing the communication AI robot newme). Academimic worked with creators to express the company’s vision for social implementation and its philosophy as art using the run_future syntax. We’ve hired illustrator Mizusu, who meticulously depicts the gentle aspects of everyday life and the everyday lives of people. His gentle worldview expresses a future in which technology blends naturally into people’s lives, and in which “work” and “connection” expand beyond distance and environment. The near-future vision of a society in which avatar robots are commonplace is visualized as an extension of everyday life, with illustrations and technological ideas intersecting. Campus Create has been selected for the Tokyo
Metropolitan Government’s “Tokyo NEXT 5G Boosters Project *1,” a program to encourage startups, including avatarin Inc., to develop and commercialize products and services that utilize next-generation communications technology. avatarin Inc.’s product, the communication AI robot “newme,” allows humans to remotely interact with customers, achieving a warm, human-like customer service experience that goes beyond simple automation and unmanned operation. We are currently working on a demonstration of “remote ward resident services” at multiple locations from a single base using local 5G and avatar technology at the Ota Ward Office main building and Senzoku Special Branch Office. Demonstration of “Remote Community Services” Using Local 5G and Avatar Technology in Ota Ward, Tokyo – Expanding on last year’s efforts, connecting the ward office main building and branch offices – https://about.avatarin.com/info-news/news-release/9622/ (Comment from an Involved Person) [Campus Create, Inc.] newme’s true strength lies in its ability to remotely provide the kind of customer service that only humans can provide. With the revision of the Childcare and Family Care Leave Act in October of this year, creating a comfortable workplace has become even more important. We see newme as a groundbreaking solution that can be applied to customer service situations in the service industry, where teleworking is difficult and labor shortages are an issue. run_future (avatar) shows newme being installed in overseas antenna shops, where it will offer Japanese hospitality and help popularize Japanese products. I thought this was a wonderful illustration, demonstrating the essential value of a service that enriches the lives of the people and helps grow Japanese industry. While run_future (avatar) expresses communication with overseas users, the national policy of Regional Revitalization 2.0 places importance on human resource sharing between urban and rural areas, so newme will likely expand its scope of activity nationwide and around the world. Furthermore, the widespread adoption of next-generation communication technologies, including 5G, is necessary for remote control of robots like newme to become integrated into society and daily life. I hope that this illustration also conveys the significance and impact of next-generation communication technologies in enriching our lives. 【avatarin Inc.】 Thank you, Mizusu, for expressing a society where communications, people, and technology are connected through your heartfelt illustrations. This image embodies our vision of robots as “beings that expand human potential,” where humans and robots work together to realize a society where compassion and diversity coexist. The communication AI robot “newme” can provide human skills and value remotely. By leveraging the awareness and warmth unique to humans, it enables natural, heartfelt customer service, even from a distance. Through this technology, we aim to contribute to resolving issues such as labor shortages and to create a future where people and robots coexist naturally and everyone can thrive freely. 【Academimic LLC】 By combining Mizusu’s gentle brushstrokes and scenes of everyday life with the warmth of society that avatarin aims for, I hoped to depict the moment when the boundaries between “work” and “connection” become blurred. In the run_future series, I translate corporate philosophies into “syntax for initiating the future” and explore new ways of speaking between art and social implementation. I hope that through my works, you can sense a future in which technology supports human warmth. ◾Campus Create Co., Ltd.
