I’m fine with the cold! “Since I started running marathons, my basal metabolic rate has increased, and I’m no longer sensitive to the cold. I used to prefer summer to winter, but that’s gradually changed,” she said, referring to the weather. “It’s been a little over a year since I started running marathons, but even before I started, I had wanted to run in the Yokohama Marathon. So I was really happy to be able to run this time. I was also happy to be able to run in the Wangan Highway Run for the first time. It was a new experience to be able to run on a highway that you can normally only get to by car. The views were amazing, with industrial areas and the seascape unique to Yokohama,” she said, revealing that running in the Yokohama Marathon had been a dream of hers.

I was so happy and encouraged to see local kids dancing to the song.
Participating this time has made me love Yokohama even more than I did before.” Regarding her future plans for marathons, she declared, “I have a goal of running a full marathon someday.” “I decided in my mind to run without pushing myself too hard, and to have fun and be myself, and I was really happy to achieve my personal best in my hometown, so if I ever become able to run a full marathon, I would like to run here in Yokohama,” she said, showing her enthusiasm.
