Fixed-wing VTOL Drone Race “VTOL-1” (First in Japan) A high-speed lap race will be held using large fixed-wing VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) drones. 2. Special Drone Show Hundreds of drones create a spectacle of light in the night sky. 3. Drone Industry Exhibition Approximately 10-20 companies from industry, government, and technology collaborations will set up exhibition and experience booths to allow local government, businesses, and children to experience the potential of the drone industry. 4. Food & Drink Booth x Influencer Collaborative Live Stream We’ll set up a food and drink booth area featuring Nagasaki’s specialty delicacies and local restaurants, promoting the region’s appeal through food. We’ll invite influencers to livestream gourmet food reviews, interviews with exhibitors, and more from the venue. This will deliver a real-time feel to the event nationwide, increasing awareness through social media and promoting tourism to Nagasaki. 【Background of the Event and its Significance for Nagasaki Prefecture】 Nagasaki Prefecture once developed as a hub for naval shipbuilding and heavy industry, and is a region that has nurtured “technology that supports the sea.” In recent years, the prefecture has built the foundation of Japan’s aviation industry through the supply of aircraft parts and the development of engineers. At the same time, Nagasaki Prefecture today faces challenges such as population decline and the outflow of young people from the prefecture.
