The Tokyo SKY Perfect JSAT Honkickies, supported by SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation (headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and CEO: Eiichi Yonekura; hereinafter “SKY Perfect JSAT”), played their first practice game against the popular amateur baseball team, the Koonins, on Saturday, October 5, 2025. This team was formed by the comedy duo Batteries, who serve as ambassadors for SKY PerfecTV! professional baseball, and is primarily made up of comedians affiliated with Yoshimoto Kogyo. ■Practice Match Scenes In this memorable “first game,” as the name Batteries suggests, the ace pitcher responded to Teraya’s lead with spirited pitching, and the game was a close one from the beginning. Although they allowed a home run in the bottom of the fourth inning to take the lead, the game became a pitching duel, and neither team was able to create any decisive opportunities, heading into the final innings.

Ace) It was frustrating to give up a home run, but I always want to hold them back, whether in Osaka or Tokyo, so I didn’t strain myself! Also, it was amazing to see Manager Manaka, Igarashi, and Sakaguchi all hitting balls at around 140 km/h so well, even though it’s been years since they retired! Teraka-san I was so excited that I barely got any sleep, so I’m happy we played a good game. However, I think I’ll be a little haunted by the fact that I struck out on a chance in the sixth inning. I was very confident in my chances, but I tried too hard, both in a good and bad way. All the other members are amazed at how good Manaka’s commentary is (laughs). If he were to get into NSC, he might even get the top spot (laughs)! Tsuji) I was the leadoff batter and struck out first, so I felt a bit responsible and it bothered me for quite a while until I got a hit. I’m 33 this year, so I’m not sure if I’ll be able to get back to that feeling, but I’m nostalgic for the tension and all that, and it was fun! Q2. Please tell us about your enthusiasm for the Honkickies’ future activities on Tokyo Sky Perfect TV!!. Ace) I want to be able to throw 135 km/h soon! I checked the speed gun today and saw that I threw a few balls at 132 km/h, so next time I’ll aim for 135 km/h! Teraka) I’m going to keep playing games steadily, gaining experience, and once I’ve improved my overall level, I’d like to compete in a tournament, so that’s what I want to work hard towards!
