The grand prize winner was decided by Director Mamoru Hosoda! KADOKAWA Corporation is holding an illustration contest in collaboration with “Endless Scarlet” and N High School, S High School, and R High School (hereinafter referred to as the N High Group). Director Mamoru Hosoda’s latest film, “Endless Scarlet,” will be released on Friday, November 21, 2025. The original novel is also on sale from KADOKAWA ahead of the film’s release. To commemorate the release of the film and the original novel, an illustration contest is being held for students from the N High School Group Art Club. Director Hosoda personally judged the entries, selecting one Grand Prize winner, five runner-up, and 14 other winners! We’ll introduce them all along with a comment from the director. ■General comments on the submitted illustrations from Director Mamoru Hosoda Thank you to everyone in the N High Art Club for each of your unique depictions of “Endless Scarlet.” It was hard to choose because all the drawings are so beautiful. So, although they said there would be two runner-ups, it ended up being five, and although they said there would be five winners, it ended up being 14 (lol). Each drawing reflects the artist’s honest heart, which I thought was great. Scarlett is 19 years old, the same age as you. How did she feel about her destiny, how did she act, and what choices did she make?
