The basis for doing nothing is to avoid conflict.” Miyagi Tatsu, the grandson of his grandfather, launched this project in Tsuboya, where his grandfather spent his final years, with the desire to spread karate not as a sport, but as a culture that cultivates the mind. Chojunkan is not just a dojo; it is conceived as an experiential facility where visitors can experience the origins of karate through learning, prayer, and fellowship. “My grandfather’s teachings were based on the dual principles of strength and kindness.
