When Takemichi called out, “Boss!”, Manjiro Sano (Ryo Kitamura), also known as Mikey, appeared. He stood at the top of the tower and declared the start of the concert, “Is anyone afraid to get excited with us? There aren’t any, right? Let’s go!” This marked the start of the approximately 1 hour and 50 minute non-stop live performance.

Even though it’s a dream, Takemichi gives it his all to accomplish his first mission as captain of the First Division, entrusted to him by Mikey: “Enliven Tokyo Manji Gang’s traditional autumn festival.” Takemichi’s always-hardworking nature is still alive and well in the live performance, and Takenaka has created an image of Takemichi that makes you want to cheer him on, just like in the main story. Each performance features bold arrangements of the music, lyrics, and choreography specifically for the live show. Pop numbers like “We Are the Mizonaka Five” and “The Beginning Wind,” which brightened up the film in the main story, were presented in an even more cheerful and upbeat performance for the live show. Encouraged by their determination to enjoy the festival to the fullest, the energy in the audience rose exponentially. The euphoric atmosphere unique to a live performance filled the entire stage.

Kiyomasa, aka Shimizu Masataka (Kawakami Masahiro), and Nagauchi Nobutaka (Takada Makoto), appearing for the first time since the premiere, wreak havoc in their long-awaited LiberMyu performance. Kiyomasa performed a live version of “Dominate You,” which has been a hot topic on social media, with even more energy than in the main performance, eliciting cheers and laughter from the audience.

They took control of the venue with their impressive singing ability, and also entertained with their playful side, which was different from the main performance.

We hope you enjoy the interactions between these characters that never occur in the main story’s timeline.

Guests from LibeMyu will appear as characters and perform songs. LibeStage will also have a talk guest (Tokyo
performance only), allowing for interaction that transcends the boundaries between the stage and musical versions. The chemistry created by the rotating guests is sure to be a highlight. The final song was “Hard Road Rock!”, also a familiar theme song for the curtain call. The cast marched through the audience, and the glow of their penlights, raised fists, and cheers blended together to conclude the approximately 1 hour and 50 minute concert. The story of “revenge,” in which boys live their own path while defying fate, has taken on a new form as a “festival,” generating new excitement. As Takenaka said at the press conference, “LibeMu and festivals are a perfect match,” this production unleashes the impulse inherent in the work. Whether you’re familiar with the original series or experiencing it for the first time, you can simply enjoy this atmosphere. Experience the charm of the “LibeMu Festival” at the theater or via streaming. Boxed interview comments Four actors appeared at a press conference before the dress rehearsal: Ryohei Takenaka, who plays Takemichi Hanagaki; Ryo Kitamura, who plays Manjiro Sano; Ikumi Isaka, who plays Ken Ryuguji; and Nobunaga Sato, who plays Naoto Tachibana. Their comments are as follows:

When I read the script, I thought, “Ah, so that’s what it’s all about!” and it all clicked. During rehearsals, I’ve realized that live performances and “Tokyo Revengers” go really well together. Unfortunately, Hina (Tachibana Hinata) won’t be there this time, but the songs she sang in the show will be featured. This is personally one of the highlights, so I hope you’ll look forward to seeing how they’re performed. I want to create a production that will draw the audience in with its manly, passionate energy and get them excited. Kitamura Ryo: The main story also depicts a serious story, but this time it’s a “festival.” All we want to do is have fun with the audience. My personal favorite is the live version of “Hito no Omoi Kokoro” sung by Draken. This song was sung in the first installment, but this time, unlike the main story, we’re standing behind Draken, cheering him on and creating a strong sense of unity, so I hope you enjoy the performance along with Draken’s gentle singing voice. It’s designed to get the audience fired up like a live performance, so please get loud! Don’t be shy. We’ll get the crowd excited, so let’s get partying together! Isaka Ikumi: Just like (Kitamura) Ryo said, “Just have fun!” That’s all there is to it. I shaved my head again this time to become Draken. The moment I dedicated my hair, I knew I was ready (laughs). I love all the songs Mikey sings, but if I had to choose, it would be “Talk to You.” The opening day falls on Halloween, and Draken has actually been given a Halloween theme, so I think it’s a song that will really hit home on this day. I want to enjoy this festival to the fullest with my friends and the audience. Sato Nobunaga: After the first and second releases, we’re finally at a festival. It was a bit of a surprise, but it’s been fun ever since we started rehearsing. All the songs have been arranged for the live performance, and even the intro of “New Next Mission: Survival,” which I sing, is completely different from the main song. At first, the audience might be wondering, “What song is this?” (laughs). There will also be costumes that are unique to the live performance, so that’s another highlight. In the main story, I don’t really get to interact with anyone other than Takemichi (laughs), so in the live performance I get to interact with various characters myself, which was very refreshing even during rehearsals. I think it’s a great production, so I hope everyone enjoys it!
