Shibuya Halloween Regulations: “We Need to Change It Through Rules, Not Morals” On the October 30, 2025 (Thursday) broadcast, a discussion was held on the topic of “Should we relax regulations on Shibuya Halloween, which has been subject to various restrictions due to a series of nuisance incidents?” Following the Shibuya Ward Mayor’s statement that “we will clearly distinguish between good Halloween and bad Halloween and promote it,” the studio exchanged opinions on the line between “regulation” and “freedom.” Rintaro of the comedy duo EXIT, who served as the show’s MC, suggested, “I feel like it’s difficult to adjust things just by saying good Halloween and bad Halloween. We need to change it through rules, not morals.” On the other hand, his partner, Daiki Kanechika, said, “It’s difficult to draw the line,” and pointed out, “Just because it makes it difficult to walk, it’s a nuisance to me. What constitutes a nuisance Halloween varies from person to person, and for those who find it annoying just to see people making noise on Halloween, there’s no Halloween that isn’t a nuisance.” He suggested that local governments “would be easier to understand if they made it clear,” suggesting a direction for the move: “Should we hold an event where alcohol is sold with the message ‘Let’s have fun outside,’ or should we keep it a quiet time and say ‘Please don’t come?'” ■Is an “immediate response” necessary? EXIT’s Kanechika Daiki, a “No Response” Guy, Analyzes Himself: “I Absolutely Can’t Do a Job That Blends Into Society” Also during the broadcast, the topic “Is an immediate response necessary? Is it unnecessary?” was discussed, along with the “instant response culture” that is required on social media and in the workplace. Kanechika declared, “I’m a no-response guy. I don’t respond,” drawing laughter. He then revealed his unique communication technique, saying, “No one contacts me, and I almost never respond to work-related inquiries. I go to the site and explain, ‘This is how it is…’ and then they say, ‘I want to do it this way.’ So I live a life where I almost never respond.” He went on to frankly state, “I definitely can’t do the job,” and “I know that I Absolutely Can’t Do a Job That Blends Into Society.” Also, Rintaro… He revealed that “Kanechi replies to LINE messages containing jokes right away,” and added from a new perspective that if the other person doesn’t respond immediately, “I wonder if they’re not providing any
excitement. There are LINE messages that you can’t help but reply to.” He added, “If they’re providing excitement, they’ll reply. I guess that’s proportional to the speed.”
