They each spoke about the thoughts they put into the costumes they created. Tanaka explained the key points of the design, saying, “I created the costume for Nasu Hohomi. It pays homage to the trench coat, and I made the jacket and dress from scratch using Mikawa striped fabric. I also adapted the belt part from rope produced in Mikawa.” Fujii revealed the secrets of the
production, saying, “I had Kawaguchi Yurina wear it. It was inspired by the sandy beaches of Gamagori, and I decorated it with fringe, lace, beads, and other elements to represent driftwood washed up on the beach.” Furthermore, at the end of the talk, a surprise
announcement was made that two of the 15 costumes created for this project will be unveiled on stage at “Samsung Galaxy presents TGC in Aichi-Nagoya 2026,” scheduled to be held in February 2026, which elicited thunderous applause and cheers from the audience. The costumes, born as the culmination of the project’s third year, will expand their stage from Gamagori, the city of textiles, to Aichi, the city of fashion, and promote local creativity nationwide.
