Adventure World (Shirahama Town, Wakayama Prefecture) will sponsor and exhibit at “Rainbow Festa! 2022” to be held on October 8th (Sat) and 9th (Sun), 2022. Through this activity, which aims to increase awareness of social issues related to sexual minorities, we hope that many people will deepen social awareness of LGBTQ, and that it will be an opportunity to reach out to those who are struggling alone with this problem. We are here. At Adventure World, we aim to create a park that everyone can enjoy and an environment that is easy to work in by participating in various events and conducting training to deepen the understanding of LGBTQ among all staff.

What is Rainbow Festa?
In 1969, a gay bar in New York was raided by the police, and thousands of people rioted in response. The following year, in 1970,
demonstrations commemorating the riots were held across the United States, marking the beginning of the Gay Parade, the origin of the Rainbow Festa. The event to raise awareness for the rights of sexual minorities spread all over the world while changing the name of the event, and even landed in Japan. Currently, it is developed as a global awareness event held in more than 20 countries, and in Japan, it is held in various places mainly in urban areas under names such as “Rainbow Festa” and “Minority Festa”.

Adventure World is a “Smile Future Creation Park” that embodies the image of a future earth filled with smiles (happiness) for all life in the park. Through the “small earth” of the park, we will continue to create smiles for the future so that the lives of all people involved can be enriched, the lives of animals will continue to be connected, and nature and resources will circulate and regenerate. I will continue.
