Epics – Decentralized crowdsourcing platform
[Image 5

Epics is a decentralized crowdsourcing platform for incentivizing open source software development.
Requesters can publish GitHub issues as sweepstakes quests (smart contracts) and recruit developers. Developers can participate in sweepstakes quests and receive rewards (tokens) by clearing them (solving issues).
Developers can focus on solving issues in their area of expertise, while requesters can solve more advanced problems. Also, high-demand issues will have higher bounties, so higher priority issues will be resolved first.
Epics solves resource imbalances in software development.
For developers, we can realize a world where they can fully
demonstrate and develop their expertise, and for clients, we can realize a world where open source software can be used more safely. And we will realize further development of open source software as a more reliable and high-quality software asset.

Client quest staking
Epics DAO announced the release of Client Quest Staking on Epics Alpha. At Epics, you can bet a bounty (EPCT token) on a GitHub issue of open source software (creating a quest), and a staking reward of 20% APR (annual interest) will be generated for this bet bounty. You will be able to
[Image 6

This allows Epics clients to help solve current GitHub issues while saving money for future issues.
As the platform creates more quests, more developers will be able to participate, and we can expect a virtuous cycle of faster problem solving.
[Image 7

As long as the quest is open, that quest bounty will be eligible for staking rewards. Staking rewards stop when the first pull request for a quest is approved, and the rewards collection period begins. As such, staking rewards can be earned when the problematic GitHub issue is resolved.

[Image 8

Epics users can participate in quests as developers and clients, but quest participants can now stake BDLC NFTs into their participation quests.
[Image 9

By staking BDLC NFT, you can receive EPCT tokens with interest rate according to the rarity of the NFT every day. This interest accrues for the duration of the quest and stops once the quest’s GitHub issue is resolved. Users will be able to stake BDLC NFTs on new quests again after confirming the resolution of the GitHub issue.

About Epics DAOs

Epics DAO was founded to incentivize open source software development. Open source software has grown rapidly and is now a center of innovation for software companies, but it is under-resourced. However, the current situation is that we need more resources than ever before for further development, such as solving problems such as bug fixes, and improving documentation and support.
On the other hand, there are many developers who long for a lifestyle where they can live by committing to open source software, and who want to focus all their time on their specialty if possible. By creating an ecosystem that incentivizes open source software development with the Epics platform, we will solve resource imbalances and contribute to the further development of software development sites around the world.
