Established in 2010 as Japan’s first test to test the knowledge of seafood for the general public, the Japan Fish Test (nickname: Totoken) is a test that teaches the Japanese mindset about the rich fish-eating culture and delicious ways to eat it all over the country. This is an initiative to rediscover the charm of eating fish, which has nurtured the body, through the certification, and to support “delicious” encounters with fish.
This year, it will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2022 as an “online test” that can be taken on a computer from anywhere in the country [Deadline for online application is Monday, October 31].
◆October 10th is “Fish Day”!
October 10 was established by the National Federation of Fisheries Wholesalers Associations from 10 (to) 10 (to) to ‘Fish (toto) Day’ after ‘toto’, which is a child’s word for fish.
In addition, October 10th is also a variety of anniversaries related to “fish” such as “Canning Day”, “Fishing Day”, and “Tuna Day”. ◆Plan 1: Start distributing practice questions on Twitter
So far, more than 30,000 people from preschoolers to people in their 80s have taken the Japan Fish Test. We have received many comments such as “It was fun just reading the side readers and problem sentences.”
First of all, with the wish that you would like to know the fun of the problem, practice questions will be posted on the “Japan Fish Test Official Ambassador-Totokenburizo-Twitter account
(https://twitter.com/totoken_burizo)” today at 10:00. We will deliver three times a week from the 10th of the month to the test date (November 13th).
We hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity and experience encounters with fish that will make your eyes fall. [Image 2
