■ MQTT for building an event-driven environment with IoT
Services utilizing IoT are being introduced in various scenes such as smart cities and smart buildings. In a system that utilizes IoT, what triggers and how to link systems and devices (messaging) is important. As services become more sophisticated, more timely coordination is required, and conventional polling methods are reaching their limits. In order to deal with this, the adoption and migration of MQTT, an event-driven and lightweight Pub/Sub model communication method, is spreading.

Sender (Publisher) ⇒ Broker ⇒ Receiver (Subscriber)
■ What are MQTT issues?
With MQTT, configuration management and authority management for sending and receiving messages only to the required parties when an event occurs tends to be complicated. Also, message delivery guarantee from the sender (Publisher) to the receiver (Subscriber) depends on whether the intermediary (Broker) has the function. If these points are not considered when introducing MQTT, problems may occur after operation.
■ How to ensure message delivery and ensure security
In this seminar, we will explain the outline of MQTT, use cases, points such as security assurance and communication arrival guarantee that must be considered when introducing, and explain how to realize them. We will also introduce (MessagePub+) as a specific means of implementation. If you are thinking about introducing or migrating to the Pub/Sub model represented by MQTT to build an event-driven system that utilizes IoT, please participate in this seminar.
