Would you like to learn about inbound tourism in the post-corona era?
Hokkaido Tourism Promotion Organization (Sapporo, Hokkaido), which promotes awareness of Hokkaido tourism and attracting domestic and overseas tourists as a wide-area collaboration DMO*1 in Hokkaido, is part of human resource development for tourism in the post-corona era. From October, we will conduct “Inbound * 2 tourism human resource skill improvement training” (scheduled for 20 times in total). You will learn the knowledge that will be useful for creating a system to accept tourists visiting Japan by unraveling the “things that have changed/changed” and “things that have not changed” in tourism before and after (=with) COVID-19.
December 10th will be held in Otaru city. A guest lecturer, Mr. Koichiro Suzuki, representative of Hokkaido Takarajima Travel Co., Ltd., will give a lecture on the theme of “recommendations for promoting adventure tourism.”
After October, it will be held in the following areas in Hokkaido. (Sapporo, Chitose, Iwamizawa, Sunagawa, Iwanai, Minamifurano, Obihiro, Noboribetsu, Biratori, Hakodate, Oshamanbe, etc.)

Mr. Koichiro Suzuki, President and CEO of Hokkaido Takarajima Travel Co., Ltd. Born November 22, 1965 in Kitakyushu City. Raised in Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture until graduating from high school. Graduated from the Faculty of Law, Tohoku University in 1988. Completed the Graduate School of Commerce, Otaru University of Commerce in 2001. Joined Recruit Co., Ltd. in 1988, worked all over the country, retired in 2005 and moved to Hokkaido. In April 2007, he established Hokkaido Treasure Island Travel Co., Ltd., which works to promote
experience-based, stay-type, and interactive tourism in Hokkaido, and assumed the position of President and Representative Director at the same time. We are striving and striving to create a tourism area that is good for all directions, good for living, good for visiting, good for standing in between, and good for the environment, through the promotion of land-based tourism throughout Hokkaido and the promotion of inbound tourism. Director of JARTA (Japan alliance of Responsible travel Agencies). In June 2018, he won the Japan Productivity Center’s “Japan Service Awards Excellence Award”. In December of the same year, the company was selected by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry as a “regional future driving company”. Member of the Hokkaido Tourism Council since 2020. In December 2021, we acquired the Partner registration of TRAVELIFE, an international certification body for GSTC-I. In January 2022, the Sapporo Chamber of Commerce and Industry received the “SDGs Management Award Comprehensive Award”. From 2022, he will be a committee member for the next Sapporo City Tourism and Community Development Plan.
Tanabe Consulting Co., Ltd. Hokkaido branch office Hiroyuki Yano, consultant Joined Tanabe Management (now Tanabe Consulting) after working in international business at a financial institution and working overseas (Singapore). Currently, as a management consultant, he is working on human resource development by rank that leads to the growth of the company and its employees.
When stationed overseas, he visited 12 countries based in Singapore, and under the theme of “conveying the unique charm of Hokkaido that can be understood only by comparing it with overseas rival regions”, he participated in cultural expositions and sports (rugby, marathon) events, etc. While engaging in inbound tourism promotion, he has also worked on grassroots tourism promotion through dialogue with “each foreigner” who wants to visit Hokkaido, such as sightseeing
consultations with FIT who visits the office every day, and tourism seminars for local students.
