(1) Inheriting the design of the former Kobe Hankyu Building East Building, forming a symbolic exterior
In order to inherit the memory and form of the former Kobe Hankyu Building East Building, which has been popular for a long time, the lower part of the building adopted the cylindrical tower and large arched windows that were characteristic of the former building. In addition, the concourse on the east side of the building incorporates a design that makes use of the arch structure of the elevated framework of about 90 years ago.
In the high-rise building, a symbolic appearance was created by using a deeply chiseled design while taking into consideration the colors of the low-rise building.

Kobe City is promoting the creation of a bustling city that is accessible to everyone by connecting the station and surrounding districts with an attractive excursion space (Ekimachi space). In this building, a sense of unity between the station and the town was produced by designing the concourse outside the station and the public plaza in front of the station with continuity. In addition, on the north side of the building, the city of Kobe will widen the sidewalk along the building into a stone-paved street, and with the understanding and cooperation of the city, open terraces for restaurants will be set up on the same street. , which created a buzz in the city.
