BALLON×La Nuit×Kotaro Fukuma Ensemble Project “Poetry Aroma Ornament Set” announced
Pre-sale at “Salon de Parfum” held at Isetan Shinjuku from October 19th (Wednesday) to 24th (Monday). After that, it will be released at the official online boutique.
BALLON (Library Design Co., Ltd. head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo), an aroma brand originating in Tokyo, has created a perfume brand “La Nuit” inspired by classical music based on the concept of “listening to masterpieces on the skin”. We are pleased to present the “Aroma Ornament Set for Poetry, Flames”, which was born from an ensemble project with representative pianist Kotaro Fukuma.
BALLON, an aroma brand from Tokyo. Since its debut in 2009, it has released aroma items, mainly gypsum aroma ornaments (R), based on the concept of the tranquil world view of “antique” and the quiet atmosphere of aroma. Currently, it is deployed in more than 20 countries, mainly in Tokyo and Paris.
Editor Mitsuhiro Ebihara, who writes BALLON’s owned content “BALLON JOURNAL”, has launched La Nuit, a perfume brand inspired by classical music based on the concept of “listening to masterpieces on the skin.” We are pleased to present the “Poetry Aroma Ornament Set” created by an ensemble project with Kotaro Fukuma, one of Japan’s leading pianists.
“Poetry Towards the Flame Aroma Ornament Set” is a scented aroma inspired by the late masterpiece “Towards the Flame” written by the Russian composer Alexander Scriabin (1872-1915) the year before his death. A room diffuser that is used by dripping oil and an aroma ornament of a hand molded with plaster. The owner of this hand is Mr. Kotaro Fukuma, a pianist who performs all over the world. In the 2022-23 season, Mr. Fukuma, who loves Scriabin so much that he has put together a performance program for Scriabin, has modeled the chords of “Towards the Flame” played.
Aroma ornament, 10 mL of bright citrus scented aroma oil using Shiranui, a fruit native to Kumamoto prefecture called the land of fire, and a booklet are set. The booklet includes the musical score of “Honoe wo Mukatte”, an interview with Mr. Fukuma, and an essay on the theme of “fetishism” by writer/producer Reiko Yuyama. Hand aroma ornaments are available for right and left hands. A collectible set that celebrates the love and admiration of the “hands” that create beautiful articles on the left and right.

In 2020, BALLON will launch “BALLON APOTHECARY”, a care cosmetic line that focuses on vegan cosmetics, as an initiative for a sustainable society. Along with Aroma Ornament (R), it is a signature product of BALLON.

About La Nuit
La Nuit is a project to scent classical music launched in 2021. Based on the concept of “listening to a masterpiece on the skin,” the songs are arranged into fragrance items. What music and scents have in common is that they change and disappear over time, leaving only a lasting memory. Both are ephemeral and therefore the most luxurious. The brand name is derived from Ravel’s “Gaspard de la nuit”, the most difficult piece in piano music history. Music and scents aimed at perfection and aesthetics mix with the five senses, inviting you to a time of sensuality and art.
