“Shinmugi Marche” and “Wheat Festival” are wheat harvest festivals by the Shinmugi Collection. Wheat craftsmen (cooks at bakeries, ramen shops, pizza shops, etc.), wheat farmers, milling companies, and distributors will taste the Japanese wheat harvested that year = “new barley” and give thanks to nature’s blessings. As a food event, it has been held every autumn in Tokyo and Fukuoka since 2015, and admission tickets and sales products are sold out every year. This time it will be held in Hokkaido for the first time.
“Shinmugi” means freshly harvested and freshly ground wheat. Only two months after grinding can be called “new barley”. All the products sold at “New Barley Marche” and “Mugi Festival” are limited items that can only be made in the season using domestically produced “New Barley”.
