“The coastline of Akita Prefecture consists of sandy beaches with gently curved coastlines, and is blessed with about 150 species of various kinds of seafood. In recent years, marine activities have become popular, and a good coastal environment has been preserved. In order to pass on such a good environment to the next generation, the prefecture has started collecting and processing coastal debris and beautifying the environment not only in the coastal area but also in the inland area. We are working on these activities, and we hope that the donations will continue to be used carefully for coastal conservation activities.”
