Miyakonojo City will install AEDs outside the elementary and junior high schools in the city so that anyone can use them in an emergency. We will prepare for emergencies such as outdoor activities for children and students, club activities on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, and sports club activities.

Currently, AEDs are installed indoors (inside the school building) at each elementary and junior high school, but when they are updated, they will be moved outdoors (outside the school building).
One outdoor AED will be installed in each elementary and junior high school from around December, and operation will start on Sunday, January 1, 2023.
■ AED installation location
・Miyakonojo municipal elementary and junior high schools 54 schools * Shirakumo Elementary and Junior High Schools are not covered as they are under the jurisdiction of Miyazaki Prefecture.
After creating a map of AED installation locations for each school, we will post it on our website and encourage users of school facilities and residents around each school to check in advance in case of an emergency.
