The Kumano Kodo, a pilgrimage route that leads to the World Heritage Site Kumano Hongu Taisha, has three routes, including Wakayama, Nara, and Mie, including Nakahechi, which is said to have been visited by the largest number of pilgrims since ancient times. It is made up of prefectures. At our hotel, we use ingredients nurtured in the rich nature of the Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine and the Kumano Kodo area, which have been attracting attention as power spots in recent years. We have prepared a dinner course to pray for. In addition to using auspicious ingredients such as Kishu Kanburi, which is said to be a successful fish, Kumano’s courses include sea lettuce from Ise, Kishu Honkue, which is in season in winter, Nara’s traditional winter vegetables, and wild boar meat from Wakayama Prefecture. Expressing the ancient pilgrimage, we offer grilled dishes unique to our hotel. In addition, after having this dinner, we also have accommodation plans where you can relax in a room of your choice, such as a room with a hot spring where you can enjoy a hot bath while looking out at the Pacific Ocean, or a Japanese-Western style room.
We are here.
At Nanki Shirahama in winter, surrounded by a dignified air, enjoy a moment of good luck at the end of the year and the beginning of the season.
About the dinner course “Seasonal Dinner Course -KUMANO Premium-” A dinner course to pray for good luck using ingredients from the Kumano Kodo area, a pilgrimage route that leads to the sacred place “Kumano Hongu Taisha”. We use not only local Wakayama ingredients, such as Kishu Kanburi, which is in season in winter, but also ingredients from Mie Prefecture and Nara Prefecture, which make up the Kumano Kodo area, to express the pilgrimage. Poisson, which uses sea lettuce from Ise in Mie Prefecture and Kishu Hon Kue, is a traditional Nara dish made with charcoal-grilled Wakayama boar from Kishu Binchotan charcoal along the Ise Route, which continues from Ise Jingu Shrine in Mie Prefecture. Sautéed winter vegetables Yamato Mana and Sensuji Mizuna are added to represent the road “Omine Okugake Michi” that runs from Yoshino in Nara Prefecture to Kumano Sanzan.
