NSG Group’s Niigata University of Health and Welfare (women’s soccer club) announced that Himeno Shirai (fourth-year health and sports major), who is currently on loan from Albirex Niigata Ladies to the university’s women’s soccer club, has been selected as a member of the 2022 JFA WE League/Nadeshiko Team. We are pleased to inform you that we have applied and been approved as a league special designated player.
As a result, Shirai will be able to participate in league matches and other official matches as a member of the Albirex Niigata Ladies, while belonging to the university’s women’s soccer team. As for the Empress’s Cup, the Albirex Niigata Ladies will not be able to participate in the qualifying rounds as the university’s women’s soccer club.
