Eberard Japan announces a limited edition model commemorating the 90th anniversary of Kokura and Kobayashi Watch Shop

Established in 1932 (Showa 7), Kobayashi Watch Shop, a
long-established luxury watch shop in Fukuoka and Kitakyushu, celebrates its 90th anniversary. In commemoration of this, Eberard Japan will announce the 90th anniversary limited model of Kobayashi Watch Shop based on the chronograph masterpiece watch “Chrono 4 21-42” of Swiss long-established luxury watch maison Eberard.
The history of Eberard chronographs goes back over a century. In 1919, Eberard completed the first one-push chronograph in the early days of wristwatch development competition. In 1935, we completed the world’s first double-pusher chronograph equipped with flyback stop and restart functions. I completed it. The following year, in 1939, Eberard created the world’s first split-seconds chronograph, and has continued to create chronograph history.
Eberard, which has constantly created the history of chronographs, knows no bounds. In 2001, we announced the chronograph “Chrono 4” (patented and registered design), which was the first in the history of watches to consist of four parallel in-dials. As the background to the birth of Chrono 4, then CEO Palmiro Monti wanted to make the readings of the industry-standard chronograph counters at the 12, 3, and 9 o’clock positions more logical and natural. It all started when I wondered if I could reform the design.
Development requires advanced technical capabilities, as well as a huge time and economic investment. However, Mr. Monty’s unwavering determination and determination put this project into action and finally completed it.
The masterpiece watch “Chrono 4 21-42” is the crystal of such determination and preparedness. This time, we will announce the latest model, the 90th anniversary limited model of Kobayashi Tokeiten. CHRONO 4 21-42 Kobayashi Watch Limited Edition

In 1932 (Showa 7), Japan was in the midst of turbulent times such as the May 15 Incident and the Sakuradamon Incident. Kobayashi Tokeiten was founded in Muromachi, near Kokura Station (now Nishi-Kokura Station) at that time, as if to illuminate Japan, which had such a dark atmosphere. Kobayashi Tokeiten started from about a quarter of the size of the current shop. Kobayashi Tokeiten, which is sometimes traditional and sometimes innovative, was founded based on the corporate philosophy of “putting the customer first and striving to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.” In 1958 (Showa 33), the store was moved to Uomachi Gintengai, where the store is currently located, and continues to this day. Kobayashi Tokeiten Uomachi has opened the first Eberard in-shop in the Fukuoka area.
