○Study in Japan Overseas Base Collaboration Promotion Project (Southeast Asia) Okayama University has been entrusted with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology’s “Study in Japan Overseas Base Collaboration Promotion Project (Southeast Asia)” since 2019, and is promoting the project with the goal of increasing the number of international students from ASEAN by 1.5 times over the next five years. . In 2014, Okayama University was selected for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology’s “Study Abroad Coordinator Assignment Project (Myanmar).” In 2018, the name of the project was changed to “Study in Japan Overseas Base Collaboration Promotion Project”, and the target area was expanded to 10 ASEAN countries.
We currently have offices in Yangon and Mandalay, Myanmar, Bangkok, Thailand, Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and Vientiane, Laos. From these 5 bases, we are working on business to attract excellent international students from ASEAN.
