ONODERA USER RUN Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Jun Kato Location: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter referred to as “OUR”) held talks with Lao Deputy Prime Minister Sohnsai Sipandon and Minister of Labor and Social Welfare Baikham Katignya to identify OUR. We have received full cooperation regarding the establishment and sending of free education projects overseas that utilize the skills system, so we will start expanding into Laos, which is the sixth country for OUR.
In February 2023, we will register a local subsidiary, open a training base, and plan to start training on Japanese language and specific skills from March.

A new status of residence “Specified Skilled Worker” for the purpose of employment for foreigners was approved and established in the Diet in December 2018. Starting in April 2019, it is a system that accepts foreigners who have a certain level of expertise and skills and are ready to work in 14 industries such as nursing care, food service, construction, etc., where there is a serious shortage of human resources.
The Japanese government plans to accept up to 340,000 foreign workers over the next five years from 2019, and 14 fields (currently 12 fields) have been designated as specific industrial fields. Let’s say 60,000 people. Considering the declining working population in Japan and the super-aging society, it is now inevitable to deal with and accept foreign human resources for specific skills.
However, the Specified Skilled Worker system is a new status of residence, and it cannot be said that it has spread yet due to the lack of correct information about the system, differences from technical training, and the system of business operators that accept foreign workers. I am in a situation.
Among them, OUR, a leading company specializing in specific skilled workers, currently has educational bases related to Japanese language and specific skills in five Southeast Asian countries, and specialized education in each field based on its own education. By doing this free of charge, we are cultivating young, excellent human resources with the ability to respond.
In addition, as an introduction and registration agency certified by the Immigration Control Agency, we have strengths in introducing human resources that are “visible” such as individual abilities and personalities. We provide safety, security, and reliable quality through our one-stop business system.
There are currently 1,389 people with specified skills who have been trained by OUR and introduced to businesses in Japan.
