ROI Co., Ltd. (head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Takahito ), which operates one of Japan’s largest customer
satisfaction improvement platforms, “Fankuru”, regularly conducts consumer surveys for “Fankuru” members. is conducting an awareness survey. This time, an awareness survey on kimchi (997 valid
respondents) was conducted from October 7 to October 14, 2022. [Image 1

In March 2022, Fankuru conducted an awareness survey on spicy foods in the corona crisis
(https://www.j-roi.com/news/research/research-220330.html). People were over 80%. In addition, the fact that the kimchi store monitor project posted on Fankuru
(https://www.fancrew.jp/?utm_source=prReport&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=prFancrew) was very popular also shows how much consumers like kimchi. We conducted a questionnaire survey targeting 997 fan members (male: 311, female: 686), such as where they buy.
91% of respondents like kimchi, many choose kimchi when they want to eat spicy food, and only 6% do not buy kimchi at all. Many people who buy kimchi do so at least once a month at supermarkets. There is no fixed manufacturer, but the taste is important, and I feel that I want to buy domestically produced and spicy foods. The result was that they often ate it with rice without cooking it on weekday evenings. [Survey result summary]
